3/1/2009: We got to race in Daytona on the short track today. We ran with the regular amatuer show and had the experts also run. Good practice. I got second in my heat and third in the semi. Both positions one transfer from the main but got some better set up info...Ready for the 09 season opener Weds.........
2/22/2009: We raced Tyler,TX last night. A fast clay high bank 3/8. Lot of fun. We won the pro class and got some more practice in the unlimited class. Getting closer for Daytona, still need some riding time. We raised almost $800 for Scott Adams and his family for their fire relief fund. Sold lots of t-shirts and a lot of donations. We thank all of our flat track community. Dirt cars next weekend and then Daytona!!!!!
2/15/2009: Had a double header this weekend. On Saturday I had the opportunity to drive a modified dirt track car. WOW!!! Lots of fun, very tough at first. I may do more of that!! Did a test on the 450's at a neat little practice track at our friend Bucky's. We will race Tyler 3/8 mile next weekend. Til then........
2/09/09: Went to DuQuoin IL this weekend. Did a little supercamp riding and a short track and tt race. The body feels fine. I need more seat time to get GNC shape but we are getting closer. Daytona is just around the corner. the 09 Kawi was working well this weekend. We will get more seat time and test new suspension also......til next time!!!!!!!!
1/12/2009: Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and have started a great New Year. I am training as hard as my body will let me and things are going well. We are going to Daytona on a 09 kx 450. Our 750plans are being negotiated as we speak. I feel great and cant wait for everything to start rolling. See ya soon........
11/29/2008: Well I hope everybody had a Happy Thanksgiving!!! I had a great time with my wife and kids. I am in very good physical condition, and getting up to race condition and speed as we speak.. I am looking forward to the up coming season.Things look very good. I will update soon. Be safe and have a super Holiday season!!!!!!!!
10/23/2008: Yea Baby!!! I am now walking unassisted..Pretty slow at it right now, but every day is better and better. I will be going to the gym and gettind back in racing form!!! We are still in talks for the 2009 season and sponsorships.
10/13/2008: Hooray!!!!! I am able to bicycle ride, swim and drive...I still have to use a walker and wheelchair. One more week and we will start walking, and then we are home free!! Training to start soon also.
10/1/2008: I went to the Dr. yesterday. He said that everything was going as scheduled. Two to the three weeks before I can put enough pressure on my legs/pelvis to walk. I feel great and am doing what exercises I can while I am resting in bed or in my wheelchair. Things are and will be great. I will be updating things soon. Stay tuned!!
9/19/2008: The healing process is well underway. We will check on the progress with the Dr. in two more weeks. Looking forward and putting the 2009 plans together as we speak...Stay tuned!!
9/5/2008: I must give a HUGE thank you to everyone's well wishes and prayers. The support means a tremendous amount to me. Thanks to all of the help, to and from the hospital. The AMA staff and IMDA were incredible. These groups look after their own like no other. Things are better each day. Thank you all sooooo very much!!!!!!!
9/3/2008: Well, well. We had a crash at the Springfield Mile. a 'racing incident'. I have a cracked pelvis and a broken tailbone and a slight separation of the right hip..Sounds bad, but things are really pretty good. Could have been a lot worse.The GNC season is finished, but we will get healed up and look forward. We are still in the top 20 overall, and will see if we can stay there..Stay tuned for updates......
8/20/2008: Wow, what a great trip...My favorite son and I took an eleven day 5 race trip and had a blast..He got to race for the first time!!! We had some good results as well, and of course in the flat track world you meet some great people!..Check the results page for more..We have a week off to get ready for the Springfield triple header and a couple more weeks right after that. Keep checking in, we will have more pictures soon and also will be selling shirts and hats online!!! Be cool and stay tuned...
8/9/2008:We had a very good night of racing...Second in the scratch heat, won our heat and got fourth in the main..Lot of fun on a fast track,3/8 mile......Felt kinda like a national...on to Stockton!!!!!
8/3/2008: Well we are out of Montana..Another main event made. We were pretty fast from the start. We were 9th after qualifying, and were a little faster than that..I finished second in my heat to King 'Cool' and made a slight adjustment for the main..On the start for the main I feel like we burned up a clutch and killed the bike on the line......race over...Hopefully I find whats wrong (later we found out it was electrical) as we are racing for a full week coming up and I am so excited that my wonderful Son is going with me . 7/29/2008: We did o.k. at Hagerstown..We made another main event..Finished twelfth, we were faster than that but starting in the back makes it tough to come through the pack!!!!! We are off to Montana for what seems to be a month of racing on the 450 singles in August..Until next time..See ya
7/21/2008: What a really good weekend in Greenville, Ohio. The track was the best of the year so far, we qualified fifth, and got a second in the heat race for a direct transfer to the main....We ran a steady race in the final to get a ninth place, our first top ten of the year....In all, a real nice weekend. On to Hagerstown for another half mile.....See ya next week. We have some new pics up in the photo gallery so check 'em out......
